I used to have a lot of those damn cucumber beetles and I would actually put a bird bath thing right in the garden.
I've had flocks of birds, hundreds!! land in the trees and then fly down in squadrons over and over to get water.

Yes...it's a food. Never grown them before.
The birds eat my tomatoes!! We have chickens (not in the garden) and they keep the beetle population, in general, at bay.

Crows for sure, but I think a lot of birds will peck at tomatoes. I'm surprised you haven't had a problem with them.
I'm not. The birds around TV's place have had many generations to learn proper feeding etiquette.
