I don't know why the scotch brite types would not be microwaveable. I use them for a while and then reassign kitchen sponges to the bathroom for a while before I toss them out. I use a lot less paper that way.(03-14-2014, 09:29 PM)Tiamat Wrote:(03-14-2014, 08:57 PM)csrowan Wrote: I run mine through the dishwasher when I run a load of dishes. But I don't like the standard sponges, I like the ones that are encased in a mesh or nylon or cloth-like covering—one side softer, one side scrubbier, both sides safe for non-stick surfaces. But not safe for microwaving.
Well, I always use the one side scrubbie type. Not safe eh?
All I know is that the packaging specifically said that it wasn't microwave safe, it was dishwasher safe, and that it was safe for most surfaces (but to test on a small section first).
