It's messed up the image insert tool. Instead of inserting the words {img} {/img} it prompts you for a web address, you'll know more from there.

Hmmm... I get the regular [img] code.

Using Firefox on a Mac I get a popup box that says "The page at http://www.roguevalleyforum says Please enter the remote URL of the image you want to insert" and then a line that starts out http:// that's highlighted blue after that for you to insert text. I think this may have been an earlier glitch that first showed up when the program was installed, too, later being corrected. If I remember correctly, it affected some other things as well (youtube insertion perhaps), but those were things I mostly didn't use personally.

Well aren't you all shiny.

Oye. It looks like the forum software authors did a complete rewrite of the code that handles the link/image/etc. insertion. I'll have to re-write my fix.

For what its worth, I like the box.

The box is nice (it makes it a lot easier to paste a URL into it, less prone to mistake), but there are a couple of issues with it:
Here's an example of the IE issues: It adds 3+ clicks every time someone tries to use it, as the "enable" option for that yellow warning bar isn't permanent.

This should be fixed now; if you're still getting the pop-ups (which have many issues), please be sure to clear your browser cache and reload the page.
FYI, I'm still working on a solution for a "better" editor, but this has so far been a huge undertaking. Thanks! |
