Some nice ideas there, Scrap. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with the sandpaper kit.

The link ( http://alphamom.com/family-fun/crafts/sa...d-t-shirt/ ) explains it. I think it would be a fun gift to get for one to do with a child or grandchild.

For the older GS:[Image: Snap%20Circuits%20Jr.jpg] Nope, not local.

Too bad movie cards aren't 'local'. But the kids who work there are, so, I guess that supports their jobs.

If he is, I wont draw on it. It would not have the firm backing needed to allow me to create my best doodle art.

Eldest daughter is getting a pair of running shoes.
Her kids are getting some toys.
Her husband is getting a three-day pass for skiing at Mt. Ashland
Youngest daughter is getting a handbag, a sweater and a gloves/hat/mittens set.
Middle daughter just got a check to pay for her wedding (the last one from us, yay!). I may get her a Kindle.
DH is getting a comfy chair for camping, an electric tea kettle for the trailer and a nice, lovely new sewer system for the trailer.

I would like to pick up a few more things for my eldest daughter.

Last year, my daughters got me a one hundred dollar Cinemark gift card. I still have one more movie left on it. Good gift huh? Though it just goes to show how few good movies are out there, seeing as I haven't run it out before now. Still nothing showing I want to see.Dry

It would appear I have neglected to monitor my little thread on Christmas shopping. I am sorry to see that things got a little out of hand. Please let's refocus on the topic, which was Christmas Shopping or general Christmas stuff. Thanking you all in advance. Smiling

This will be the first Christmas morning in decades that the DH and I will not have kids/people in the house. My DD will bring her family over here later in the a.m. to open presents and have our traditional breakfast of Eggs Benedict and mimosas, but initially it will just be the two of us. Strange.

When the kids were growing up, the rule was not to wake up either parent before 7:00 a.m. Anybody who woke up earlier was welcome to open their stocking, which an elf strategically placed outside their bedroom doors the night before. That system worked well. Happy

I am adding these two items to my Christmas wish list in case anyone wants to buy one for me.

A Garmin hand held GPS

An underwater camera

I'll need both of those things when I go to Fiji.Laughing

Daughter's Mother-in-Law will be joining us on Christmas. She is a lovely lady, annoyingly thin and beautiful, very 'Malibu' but all like her anyway. I really should find a gift for her but ... But.... Will have to poke around Ashland to see if anything eclectic pops out at me. If it does it will probably be too expensive. She isn't the type to give a gift certificate from Target. Stay tuned.

I thought about that but sugar does not pass her lips. She would ruin her size 2 figure, which she works very hard to keep. Her goal is to be a size 0 and she may have achieved that. This is not an easy person for whom to buy a gift. Neutral
