Cooked by a real guy that used to live there, or at least looks like he could have, and adapted for local tastes. Smiling

How about good bread (German) for soups? I love a good hearty bread for soups, stews, and sandwiches.

The stuff in the store is too airy like some posters on here Laughing

If, it's adapted for 'local tastes' it's hardly authentic is it? I read this blog about this woman who cooked her grandmothers spaghetti sauce for years, treasured Grandma's recipes and all the traditions. Finally, she decided to rediscover her heritage and went back to visit the village that was the homeland of her grandmother. It a while, but after some talking and interpreting and mentioning of this relative and that, the village finally welcomed her back as a long lost daughter! Then one of the women who was in the family line who came from the same lineage and ancestry, looked at this american woman's recipe and laughed and said they never cooked pasta with tomatoes in their village! Whaaaddyaathinkinn??

Sometimes this group has trouble with dry humor and basic marketing, too. Smiling
