Identify cars from the 1950s, back when cars had personality and you didn't have a console between you and your girl.

I got 43 out of 48, a 90%
But, then, I'm an old geezer, I remember some of these.
(I stole this from a fellow poster on the Grants Pass site, hope she doesn't mind!)

That was fun.
I knew the Fords, the Edsel, the Chevy and the Packard.
I knew the years. But a couple of pages blew me away. You beat me.

You have to use the process of elimination, too.
Choose the ones you know for sure then narrow it down.
See..I'm old...I know what a Kaiser looked like because our
family owned one!

Those Packards made it tough....
And I totally GUESSED on a couple of the hood ornaments and guessed correctly.
Ah..the days..when gas was .35 cents a gallon and our cars were made from American steel, eh?
The days of a 4 Barrel in a V8; when you stepped on it you could hear the other chambers open while sucking down the gas.
Ignorance was bliss, eh?

My guess is, BBQ could do well at this.

Yep, I think you're right. I got 100%, teachers.
The only dicey section was the Year of Mercury one but I let the force be with me
and it all worked out. Family owned a few of those as my dad was a used car salesman,
Grandpa drove Chryslers, Uncle Bill drove Cadillacs and Chevys and Uncle Bob owned a Cities Service station for a while. Uncle Karyl never owned anything cool as he was married to Aunt Alberta.

Not for me ... my Mom's Packard was one of my favorites.
The 57 Chev. was the other.
The beetle made me blow chunks, and we had the darn thing for 15 years.

The fact is, I'd do better with this than I would with modern cars. I loved them more as a kid.

I can totally understand why ultra rich people have classic car collections. Yes, there is much more important things to spend one's wealth on...but, I have to admit, I almost envy Jay Leno. I wouldn't need that many, just a few.

I really thought I'd do better.. earlier than about "53", I was lost.
