Agreed!

See above.

Duh, Larry! It was a joke! Rolling Eyes

Yet it has been considered in reality by evil men. Be careful what you joke about with responses like "AGREED!" when it comes to forced sterilization. It has been a reality for some in history.

Aside from that why should everyone else have to pay for someones birth control, contraceptives and abortions when it is not a health issue? The argument that it will save money by preventing births is BS so try something else.

Why shouldn't I have the right to have BC covered by my insurance?

Well now I'm really curious. (Not that I need birth control).

Simon asks why should it be free. Tia asks why not.

Did not.
Did too.
Did not.
Did too.
Did not.
Did too.

Eek!

That's not what I asked, though, Wonky. If I am paying for my insurance, why is my birth control "free". Aren't I paying for it? SP asks why should it be free? I ask, why shouldn't I get what I pay for? Your witty comeback wasn't really accurate.

Damn. You are so right! I REALLY have to learn to read. Or maybe it's that I read from right to left. Sometimes I start at the bottom and read up. Mostly, I just try to guess what the words mean.

Sorry...I will promise to more attentive, but it won't mean much. I'll make a mistake like this again tomorrow. Maybe I need a brain rinse.

And by that time, SP still won't have an answer.

Why is this birth control issue such a big deal now? Yeah we know it is because fatso got into the news for calling Sandra Fluke a slut, but really, it was never that a big deal except to the Catholics.

I regularly hear our extreme righties complain about promiscuous women that are poor and that pop out babies sure to be headed for a life of feeding at the welfare trough. So, if I were a welfare mom hater, I would think BC would be a step in the right direction from the taxpayers perspective. Too bad most of the teen pregnancies and unwed mothers are conservative hillbillies from the south. They are the ones sucking at the government tit all while their uncle/hubands rant about Obama and the socialists from the left.

It's a campaign issue. A convenient and hypocritical one.

I heard a great show on JPR about republicans going all out on this culture war BS because they are losing the demographic wars.
more minorities=less republicans, so the strategists have told all mediameisters and candidates to focus on this being the all or nothing election because if they lose
"America as we know it" will be lost/destroyed.

I want to know why my reproductive cycle is not my health issue.

The real question is why should I not have free birth control.

Either society should be willing to care for every child whose parents have inadequate resources, or society should help keep those children from being born (in my opinion, of course).

First of you got to get over, 'I'm paying for your birth control'.

We all pay, for all, our medical needs, including your ED.

Don't go playing politics with medicine.

It's cheaper to pay for someone's birth control than to pay for their welfare.

Oh, SP, doesn't want women to have insured birth control, but is against abortion. He probably wouldn't support birth control be prescribed to unmarried women if he could have it. But I see he's banned again? What this time?

But if they don't prevent affordable access to birth control, mandatory sex education, affordable access to health care, and a strong safety net for women and families who unexpectedly find themselves having greater expenses due to pregnancy and/or caring for a child, how will there be enough unwanted pregnancies for them to make a stand against abortion?
