Personal freedom is one of my issues, but I don't want Obama toking up. He needs to be clear headed to fight the nay sayers. Did I ever tell you about the time I met Obama and shook his hand? Because everyone here has heard the story 6 or more times.Laughing

When Dubya was running for President, I remember they laid his whack headedness off to a drinking problem. I think it was just a cover for his lack of content, and maybe they were preparing him for a diminished capacity defense, if he ever get's drug to The Hague in chains.

Welcome to the Church of Divine Revelation.

I think this is around the 7th revelation. Big Grin

Today's service will focus on some teachings from the Good Book that our local churches don't spend much time on. From -Matthew 25:41-45

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least among you, you did not do for me.'"

Then the pastor said unto the lord, "Oh yeah well now its 2008 and that's not the government's job and besides we have a poor fund Charity jar right here." Rolling Eyes

At some point in late 2007 or early 2008 I changed who I planned to vote for in the upcoming 2008 election. I had been a supporter of Hillary Clinton early on, but I began to think that Obama was the better choice. When I heard Obama was coming to Southern Oregon, I wanted to try and hear him speak. However, so many people went to the event that many were not able to get inside the Kids Unlimited building in Medford to hear Obama speak. I was one of those people. So, I stood in the back parking lot up against a rope barrier that security had set up thinking I would see Obama enter the building. When Obama's motorcade arrived he got out of a vehicle and walked along the rope shaking peoples hands and thanking them for coming. So I got meet the president to be and shake his hand.

Here is some of it on YouTube. Click the link, the fist 30 seconds is people standing in line.

That's it? That's the extent of this sermon? No wonder I never noticed it any of the first 6 times either. Smiling

Praise Dog, my brother!

I would love to have beverages with President Obama. I wouldn't talk politics with him though. I'd rather just sit and B.S. with him... listen to some tunes... talk Beaver basketball. That would be pretty cool, in my book! Big Grin
