And that they did. Against a beat up Sox team. But, that's baseball, and a win is a win.
It's a long season, and both should we aware of The Rays and Toronto. Even Baltimore could wreck someone's pennant drive.

It's been fun watching Jeter prove the nay-sayers wrong! Sure, he is nearing the end of a brilliant career but he is a class act who will hang 'em up before embarrassing himself of the Yankees.

And across town, David Wright of the Mets is hitting everything he sees! It won't last of course, but happy to see it for a guy who has battled injuries so much of his career.

Ah yes. The boys of summer. The most perfect game ever!

I'm a Giants fan and hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst. A team with too many holes. Just so they finish ahead of the Dodgers. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" is a Dodger fan and so we live "in a house divided".

I hate the Red Sox, I hate the Yankees. Too bad they couldn't both lose.

But, to Yankees fans, THIS win was the important one
We'll start worrying about the pennant now. Big Grin

Hate is such a strong word! But, we are all entitled to our feelings. My guess is you don't really mean hate.

Heard the pundits on Baseball America saying that your Royals are on the cusp of breaking out and once more becoming a dominate team. They have build a fine farm system, and now are hanging onto the talent rather than trading it away. Next year?

That's how I felt about the last Super Bowl. But who I'm really mad at, at this point, is the Saints.

It's almost fifty years since The Yankees learned to play baseball. From, their teachers, the Cardinals.

God Bless the New York Yankees, I tell ya.
Although, after tearing down Yankee Stadium we can't call them 'The House that Ruth Built' anymore.
I've never understood how folks resent Steinbrenner money...every baseball team hopes for a rich owner!
