He didn't choose the name.  I gave it to him. He used to be WKNYC or something....but at some point I dubbed him Wonky and everyone else took it up. I don't think he cared for it so much, but EVERYONE used it, so I guess he just bowed to inevitable and learned to like it.  But I do think Crone is referring to Wonky here, but it's her use of the plural that intrigues me.  Kind of implies an Us against them sort of thing. Like she is referring to more than just Wonky.
